Patient Group Meeting Minutes – 25th June 2026

Discussion Points
The aim of this meeting was to review the patient survey that the practice drafted as agreed at the previous meeting.
The patient group reviewed each question and discussed its suitability for the patient survey.
The feedback we received from the survey was to keep the answer options simple and to ensure the question/answer format is uniform throughout.
The practice made the agreed changes. Some questions were removed as the practice is not able to make changes, due to contractual reasons.
It was also agreed to add a section about the patient age and sex, this is so we can identify trends and ensure each demographic is represented proportionally.
It was agreed that the amended patient survey would be shared with the wider patient group that were not in attendance for feedback and/or approval.
Follow up actions for patient group
Please review the attached patient survey and provide any feedback to me within 2 weeks, a final draft will then be circulated.
We would also like to discuss with the patient group any ideas you may have for how we can share this survey with patients that are not digitally enabled. Ideas from the meeting:
- Hard copies at the reception desk
- Hard copies given out by clinicians
- Attendance at sports centre’s
- Waverley day centre
- Residential homes
- Sixth form (When re-opens)
Follow up actions for the practice
The practice to plan who they send the survey too, ideas:
- A link to be sent to any patient over 16 years old to complete the survey after they have had an appointment, noting that they can also access hard copies at the surgery.
Timeline
Patient group to review the draft survey within 2 weeks from receipt and provide feedback to me (17th July 2026)
Practice to complete final draft and share with patient group within 2 weeks (31st July 2026)
Patient survey roll-out to commence on 3rd August.
Next patient group meeting – September 2026, date to be confirmed.
